duck rice stall - lost & found

i used to patronise this duck rice and duck noodles stall at fajar food court 1 until it disappeared, without any notice given. i asked around but the other stall-holders were somewhat reluctant to offer any information regarding its whereabout. one of the drink stall helpers mentioned that the stall might have moved to blk 259 bangkit road.

i would often go to blk 259 bangkit road to check if any new stall, especially duck rice stall, had made its appearance. no luck for one whole year. i even checked the other nearby coffee shops and food court. blk 259 is significant because someone who knows about the 20-year history of this duck rice stall told me that there was where the stall had its origin.

my friend victor, who was a loyal customer of the same duck stall, found out a lit bit more. according to his source, the husband and wife team had decided to give up selling food because the husband was having some problem with his hand, either some recurring pain or some weakness.

then last week when i dropped in at the blk 259 coffee shop, i saw a familiar face - the wife of the duck rice seller. i looked at the signboard of the stall. yes, it was same one. it was a nice feeling - like meeting up with a long-lost friend.

to make certain that it was the same one, i needed someone to confirm it for me. the following week, i arranged with victor to have duck noodles for breakfast at blk 259. helen - victor's wife - and i had noodles while victor had kway teow. the duck meat and innards came in a separate plate. there was no drop in standard at all.

later, victor found out that they have been operating this new stall for about three weeks.
